The picture shows a feature marked on the Ordnance Survey map (grid ref. 1895 9877) as 'Fox Bield'.

It is an island of shattered rock in the middle of an area of marshy ground known as Fox Bield Moss, the origin of the name is unknown but information regarding the same would be welcome - email me.<
